Taken in the last week of May last year (when Spring is really happening here). I liked the contrast of the small, new leaves and complicated matrix of mostly bare branches with the still white mountain behin them. This one is more interesting in the large version.

A very nice spring look in the trees, Gary, and the half-bare mountains in the background add to the feel.
Gary, the new leaves on the trees show up very well here. The becoming bare mountains provide a fine contrast to the trees. This shot says early spring nicely.

A very pleasing scene and shows that Spring in Alaska can be full of contrasting temperatures from warm to below freezing. I especially like the details in the mountains. Well done…Jim
