This was shot early morning in the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park in northeast Navajo County, Arizona. I don’t often shoot silhouettes but this one called out for it. I have one other silhouette to post but that’s about it for me…

Canon EOS 5D SR, Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/1.4, 4 seconds @ f/8, tripod, polarizer. Processed in Capture One, minor adjustments in levels, exposure, and blacks.

David, this is a classic of The Mittens. The color changes in the sky are wonderful, especially the deep blues at the top and the “lots of sky” fits totally with the location.
