Unending cycle

Looking down into the ice on the edge of the Popple river. It makes me think of ariel photography or a topographical map. So cool.

Specific Feedback Requested

I already did a fair amount of cloning/CAF or whatever in Photoshop to remove something that really couldn’t be moved IRL (unless I wanted to fall in), but was super distracting. Should I get rid of the reflection, too?

Technical Details

Is this a composite: No
Handheld sitting on the edge of the river, pretty steep bank and braced myself against a tree with my foot. Dual IS and good technique let me stay at a low ISO and a slow shutter speed.

Lr processed for initial RAW adjustments including clarity, texture a boost in exposure and the usual white and black points. Then into Ps to remove an object and create a more unified shot.

A very interesting image Kris! It does look like an aerial shot of rivers and creeks.

The blue and gold colouring is very effective and the image has a nice flow to it.

I have “seen” a little alien person on the upper left. He appears to be walking through the ice…whipping his tentacle arms about. Now I’ve seen him, I can’t unsee him. :slightly_smiling_face:

Now I can’t either, @glennie - too funny!
