Usually I see oystercatchers along a shore. Here it came really close on a fence. Lured I suppose by some bait. The flowers in the foreground add in my eyes a special touch to the picture.

This is a very cool image of the oystercatcher, Xavier. Knowing what the situation was, I like the foreground flowers as part of what I would consider a documentary image. If you want to go for art with this one, you could crop to a head shot.

I rather like this “out of the box” cropping and the yellow OOF flower certainly adds another dimension. I’m pleased the bird chose an old fence to travel along.
