This is a horizontal view taken while walking along the same stretch of road as my vertical prior post with @Steve_Kennedy.
In the prior post, several suggested/preferred a crop that removed the fog in the background. After playing with that, I decided I’m somewhat agnostic as to whether the fog crops the horizon or I crop it. I like it about the same either way, so I’m keeping the same theme as my first post and including it.
Old habits die hard. With my prior crop-factor cameras, I tried very hard to keep the ISO low to reduce shadow noise. However in this image, at full size there are motion issues due to the breeze. In retrospect, I should have increased the ISO and shutter speed; there is a lot more room in that regard with the Z7II.

Wonderful scene, John, and I like the fog as is. I don’t notice any movement, so if it’s there it’s not taking away from the scene. Wonderful.
Very moody. But I have to say, I much prefer the image without the sky/fog - I don’t think it adds to the picture. I mean, we know it’s foggy and I find the sky draws me away from what I experience as the heart of the picture, namely the waterway, which is very seductive. I find including the sky actually reduces the mystery. If you wanted to maintain the aspect ratio, you could crop a bit from the left .
This looks good John! I agree with David - I don’t see the movement. I don’t mind the fog at the top of the scene. I think your processing is spot on as well.
This is a wonderful image. I love the S shape of the stream and the wonderful, colorful grasses and plants that surround it. I also don’t see the motion. I thought about what @Kerry Gordon said about cropping the sky out. It was hard for me to decide if I would like this crop, so I downloaded your image and tried it. I cropped it just a little above the sky to keep from cutting off the grasses. I like this crop, but I would have to go back and forth for a while to really decide which one I preferred. I think cropped or not cropped this is a very nice image. Great job.
