Description
I’m so glad ode season has begun in earnest here in my neck of the woods. I went yesterday to a state park pond and found some dragons hovering as I waited for more birds to show up.
Specific Feedback
I chose this image for the wing position and end to end sharpness on the body.
Any thoughts?

Excellent flight shot of this guy, Allen. Beautiful detail in the body.
Allen: You guys posting dragonfly flight shots are making me insanely jealous. Superb use of your long lens and a terrific capture. >=))>
Super!! You have more attractive and varied ones than I do! (Same for birds.) So color me green too! Delightful to see you making the best of the chances – this one is A+ with composition, color, sharpness and detail!
Top marks, Allen. I really like the shape you caught of the wings.
Hi Allen. A superb image! I wish your dragonflies could teach my dragonflies how to hover.
Really exceptional detail with your perfect POF. Great colours and nice BG showing thru the wings.
Macro shots work great sometimes on tiny subjects - as here.
marvelous capture! Not a nit from me..
I too am jealous, Allen. I have yet to capture a decent in flight shot of a dragonfly! I keep hoping, maybe this year. I think it helps if near a pond because they probably hover more. Nice and sharp.
Allen,
Outstanding! It has a sense of symmetry to it by virtue of the wing positions. With that in mind, I might crop a bit off the right side to center the dragonfly.
