Waves of Color

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This is a look at the water flowing away from the cascade as it enters my pond. The colors are a mix of leaves and algae below the surface and reflections from the surroundings all distorted by the water waves. Shots like this are a challenge because what you see in the viewfinder is not what you get in camera, so it’s strickly guess, hope and fire away…

Specific Feedback

Since abstracts “should” engender a feeling in the viewer, I’m curious to know what you think and feel.

Technical Details

R5, 100-500 @ 500, 1/640 s, f/13, iso 3200, tripod. A fast shutter is needed to avoid motion blur from the water’s motion.
