We just have to learn how to love thy neighbor

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

As you can tell, it’s a very overcast day in Rocky Neck State Park. As I walked into the back of the park, I saw a large group of Egrets just off the bank in the first pond, so I sat down and spent the next hour or so photographing them.
Thank you for stopping by.

“I’ll love him a lot more at a distance!” An awesome interaction series, Peter. The only suggestion I could make here is to bring up the shadowed parts of the two main characters a bit to make them pop from the background more. One of the people in our camera club who uses it says the latest version has very good masking tools, so it should be doable.

Really nice interaction series Peter. Reminds of all the egrets I see chasing each other at the lake here. Nice poses and I like the streaks made on the water as the birds move along. I do wish the birds in the background weren’t there especially the ones with head and neck cut off on upper left. Still, the action of the two main subjects are enough to make these quite intriguing images.

Very nice images, Peter. Very graceful motion of the lead egret. It works to click through them fast.

Very nice chase scene, Peter. Great watching these big graceful birds when they spread their wings.

Hi Dennis, Allen Sparks, Allen Brooks & Stephen
Thank you for your comments. Here is a re-post with the new masking in DXO Lab 9.
Peter
