Technical Details

Z8, Nikon 180-600mm & 1.4ext, f9, 840mm, -.7EV, 1/1600, ISO 500 and cropped by20% in DXO PhotoLab 8. I used a control point and Auto Mask on the Egreat to control the whites, and a control line to bring down the background.

A fine image, Peter. The pose is excellent and I like the framing a lot. Exposure of the whites looks spot on to me.

Very sweet image! The detail on the egret is superb, even extremely enlarged. Both the FG and BG water are excellent, and the egret’s position in the frame is perfect. Whites handled perfectly, and the subtle Even the bit of grass reflection is neat.
