Delton: Really cool scene with some intriguing formations. My only suggestion would be to post a larger image so that the fine details could be better explored. Well seen and captured. >=))>

I really like those sandstone cliffs along the washes in Capitol Reef. It is amazing what water does to sculpt the landscape. Cool image.

Bill: Thanks for you notes. I wonder about file size: this was sent as 4 mb jpg; should it be a larger file?

It’s the pixel dimensions that matter. Anything sent to the server larger than 3MB gets downsized. When you work the image resize it to 2000 pixels on the long side. If it is a resultant >3MB you can adjust quality until you get under the 3MB limit. When I import an image from the RAW file into PS I immediately resize it to the 2000 pixel standard and then work from there. Just be sure that when you save for web or whatever you do prior to posting that you don’t save the changes to the RAW file made when you resized or you will lose all your RAW data.
