About the Webinar

Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) is a hot topic in the realms of creative photography, and it can be used to push the boundaries of artistic expression in ways that are unique to each individual. By pushing the boundaries of her creativity through ICM, Stephanie has expanded her own artistic vision and photographic expression resulting in very magical and painterly images that reveal the essence of any given scene. Stephanie fully immerses herself in the deliberate application and creative flow of ICM, using a variety of in-camera techniques, to craft beautifully artistic images. With a mantra of “Do the Work,” Stephanie has prolifically created with her camera to develop her artistry. and she is a passionate advocate for encouraging others to feel the magic of those special moments that come from doing the work, as well.

In this talk, Stephanie covers some of the basic ICM principles and techniques, as well as the more advanced ICM technique of multiple exposure ICM in this presentation. She also presents a section on mobile ICMs for the growing trend towards creating with mobile devices (both Android and iPhone).

The possibilities and potentialities of ICM are limitless, and this form of photographic expression is uniquely positioned to enable each individual the opportunity to tune into the essence of the moment, to reimagine the world through the lenses of Abstraction and Impressionism, and to see things differently. In this way, ICM enables us to connect more deeply to both the inner and outer landscapes of our lives.

About the Presenter

Stephanie is a self-taught creative photographer, who is primarily focused on Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and creative photography techniques as a form of artistic expression. She has honed her skill and evolved her artistry by getting out to ‘do the work’ as often as possible. She brings an inter-connected, creative, and intuitive approach to her photography-as-art to visually express the essence of light, color, form, line, texture, mood, and emotion through the various in-camera creative techniques of ICM.

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduate work in English Literature and has always had a very strong emotional connection to art, in all its various forms. She has a deep passion for creating uniquely artistic images by working with camera movement to reveal the essence of how any given scene feels for her in the moment, and as a creative photographer, she is always seeking to push the boundaries of her own artistry, as well as to encourage and inspire others to do the same by seeing things differently through the artistic lens of ICM, ME ICM, and creative photography techniques.

Stephanie is the Founder, Creator, and Publisher of ICM Photography Magazine (ICMPhotoMag), a first-of-its-kind e-magazine dedicated solely to featuring ICM photography. Stephanie also leads on-location ICM workshops in the US and the UK in collaboration with various creative photographers and, as an instructor for Santa Fe Workshops she leads ICM workshops online and on-location for SFW, as well. She collaborates with various other online learning communities and camera clubs, such as Out of Chicago Photography to share her passion, techniques, and knowledge of ICM. She is also an ICM/creative photography mentor and a co-founder of the ICMPhotoMag Network continuous learning online community.
