Welcome to the Farm

One of the sweet farm cats waiting for a pet and a treat when we would come to buy the fresh produce and raw milk at this small farm in Connecticut.

A neat looking cat and a nice looking farm stand, Vanessa. The cat is pretty centered in the frame and the light is a bit harsh, but with those business hours you’re pretty stuck in terms of light. I think I’d recrop it something like this. Note that I had to upsize the cropped image, so you could probably get better results working from your original. You could also clean up some of the oddities that I ended up with on the left side, such as the bottle.

You did a great job getting the exposure right on the cat with plenty of detail in the sunlit fur.

Cute kitty. I like the rework done by @Dennis_Plank . It tightens things up quite well.

Hi Dennis! Yes I like this crop! I was wanting to keep the whole image for the silo and because I hate that I crop everything! But I really like this better, the silo really wasn’t that pretty! Thank you!

Hi,

Go with Dennis’s crop–it works very well. Cropp[ing is a good way to improve composition whenever we use the center autofocus point for accuracy. Well done…Jim
