It was fun watching this Little Blue work the coastal inlet in Westbrook, Ct. I posted this reflection , because of the eye contact. The shot was taken on May25, 2016 at 7:38 PM.

Is this a composite: No
Canon 7Dll, Tamron 150-600mm, f8, 500mm, 1/1000, ISO 400. The shot is cropped around 60% and I adjusted the exposure and vibrancy in DXO Photo Lab 4.
The reflection makes for an interesting image and I too like the eye contact of the blue heron, Peter. The title says it all as the bird has a bill full of seaweed. Do you have an image with the bird and it’s reflection? I ask because I think that would make for another wonderful image. Beautifully done.

Thanks for taking the time to post the full frame, Peter. FWIW I like it better because I think it has a better sense of place with that wonderful ripple spreading out across the water. The great egret is also quite nice and you handled the whites beautifully.
