West Side of Oahu at Sunset + Edit

Edited to remove white spot.

Image Description

It was after sunset on the Northwest side of Oahu near KaEna. I feel the rocky shoreline and the coastline in the BG make some nice leading lines to take the viewer through the image.

Ed, I agree the leading line of the great rocky coast is very appealing. The sky and ocean are excellent as well.

Ed, wonderful coastal scene. The image has a bit of calmness in the sky & water, and also some tension with the rough shoreline and breakers. Color is excellent overall… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hi Ed,
I love the drama with those clouds and the light falling on this scene is exquisite. The diagonals of the shoreline work very nicely as a lead in line. my only small nit would be to clone out that white spot along the horizon as it does slightly catch my eye. I could see myself pulling up a chair and watching the sunset with a cold Sammy in my hand. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ed: Reminds me of sunsets we saw on the big island when we visited there a couple years ago. beautiful light and a fine comp. >=))>

It’s a very inviting and relaxing scene, Ed, with the glow in the grasses (llc) being a nice invite. The contrast looks a bit much, does that relate to iso 12800? I’ve found the noise levels of the R5 to be overwhelming at iso above (usually) 3200.

Thank you very much @SandyR-B, @Paul_Breitkreuz, @Ed_Lowe, @Bill_Fach and @Mark_Seaver. I appreciate all of your comments, and all of you. Ed
