What's Left Behind

Image(s)

Image Description

It’s always fun to explore the beach to see what patterns and texture you can find in the sand. You can sense the motion of the water with the outgoing tide, as it creates these lines and swirls in the sand, while leaving a couple of objects behind.

Ted: I love to beachcomb just for the opportunity of finding little scenes like this. The sand patterns and color palette are wonderful and there is a sense of energy implied. And what’s even better is that this is a unique never to be repeated subject. Well seen and superbly captured. >=))>

Thanks Bill. Yes, it’s a lot of fun to comb the beach looking for these small scenes, and sometimes they work just right.

Ted, the mix of swirls and solid items looks great. Yes, finding interesting patterns like this to photograph is always both good fun and challenging. You’ve got very strong right to left eye movement following up the lines and moving over to the objects. Well seen.

Thanks you @Mark_Seaver for your comments. I’m glad you liked the image and can sense the movement of the water that created these textures in the sand.

I, too, love finding patterns and texture on the beach. I especially like to find varying colors of sand and interesting tidbits. This image has so much motion. I love the flow. When I initially viewed it I saw it as what I have attached. To me, it looks like something (can’t decide what the rock would be, maybe it’s a bud) cupped in the petals of a flower and a darling little bird perched on a small branch.

That’s great @Chris_Baird. Interesting how rotating the image makes one see something totally different.
