I think that you have pretty much nailed it here Sandipan. A shot that captures the moment very well indeed.
I like the way that the background matches half of the bird and the branch matches the other half.
There also seems to be a sort of aura effect around the bird. Very nice

Great pose, Sandipan, and I love that wild looking tongue and the meal in mid-air. The detail looks excellent. I think you could back off a bit on the very brightest backlit fringes, though I know they’re not blown out. If you’re into cloning, you might get rid of what looks like a spider leg coming up to the perch on the left.

Very nice pose and the beetle will not escape. The lighter colored elements of the BG are positioned perfectly to show off the barbet. You get no nits from me and I like this one as presented…Jim
