Pertinent technical details or techniques:

I recently spent a day at a couple of wildlife refuges that have lots of birds. The White-faced Ibis is one of my favs to see, and shoot, what with their crazy-long beaks and iridescent feathers but this was the only one I saw all day. It was busy awkwardly preening using its head and too long beak. I like the pose but, with its body and head position I found myself scratching my head on how to best crop it. What say you? D500, Nikon 200-500 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, hand held, 1/3200th, f 8.0, 650mm, ISO 1250, AI Clear.

You got some nice color in the feathers and enough of the eye. My only thought might be to have a bit more room on the right side.

I’m agreeing with Allen on this one, Dave-a bit more on the right. Wonderful iridescent colors.
