White-tailed deer in fog

Saw this buck early this morning in heavy fog. I could only see him through the viewfinder - not the naked eye. He snorted and pawed the ground a few times and then left the field. Was a great experience to see.

In my opinion you handled this situation very well. The deer shows very well through the fog. The pose you caught him in brings a sense of action to the image.

The fog adds a nice mythical feel - I like the subtle colours.

A beautiful frame, executed very nicely!
Fog helps get some beautiful muted tones, may be the stag felt threatened because of your gun like camera, that’s why he pawed.
You may slightly burn the bottom grass, if you like.

Nice image. Why not raise the white point and exposure a bit? I also slightly cooled down the WB after and shifted the tint to be slightly more green, it was looking a tad purple.

WOW! Magic light and a wonderful pose with the perfect BG! Congratulations on the EP – very well deserved!!

Great mood in this image, Allen. Congratulations!
