Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

It wouldn’t be spring in Texas without wildflowers. Found this large expanse of paintbrush and bluebonnets in Washington County Monday. I’ve been wanting to find some fields like this to shoot with my drone and was lucky enough to discover this in one of my regular wildflower haunts. Texas, it’s a whole 'nuther country y’all!

Specific Feedback

Does the lack of interesting ground features cause any issues? Does the expanse of flowers hold enough interest?

I like the composition of the cropped version. The visual imbalance makes it more intriguing. Even the row of trees at the very top works for me.

Bill, I prefer the uncropped version. I like the sense of spatiousness and the large expanses of subtle colors. It a great color mix with the multiple blues, multiple greens and the oranges. I would suggest a bit of burning-in alon the top edge
