I often photograph this stand of ferns in the back yard and delighted in doing so as the wind had a chance to play with them.

John, this is an interesting version of movement in the subject rather than in the camera. We can find beauty in many ways. I like the soft outlines of the fronds. Thanks for sharing.

John: This isn’t quite working for me although I like the idea. I’ve often tried similar shots but something to consider is to use a slow sync flash so that there will be a sharp base with the movement all around it. Something else that might work is a much tighter crop essentially filling the frame with the moving ferns. >=))>

Really cool idea, but - to me - there isn’t any area sharp or defined enough to make a focus point for the eye. Always great to try new things, though…
