Wind and Water The Sky !!!!!

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

When the Wind changes the Water and the Sky with Clouds reflect into that change. Hard to explain. I tried to capture what I saw and felt. There is a pattern there and it blew me away.

Specific Feedback

Very difficult to capture the patterns and the way this made me see and feel. Abstract and so different. I just can not explain it. this effect only lasted 10 minutes and then gone.

Technical Details

ISO 800 Shutter 500 f 18. edit in photoshop. edit the best I could to capture this strange event.

Gil: I like this. A very nice “What is it?” impact and I like your tonal control and progression in the frame. Well seen and very nicely captured and presented. >=))>

Its a reflection of the Sky with small clouds in this lake and the wind blowing the water giving these patterns. Kinda blew me away. Never seen anything like it. I tried to capture what I saw and felt but I did come up short. I decided to post thinking someone else may have experienced some thing like this. Only lasted a few minutes. Very unusual and abstract … I did very little editing… Pretty weird !!!

Interesting, Gil. Was this by chance a puddle on bricks. I seem to see brick outlines in the pattern. In any case a very cool abstract.

Dennis. Those brick shapes is the wind blowing across the lake. And the clouds in the shapes. Freaked me out. Lasted a few minutes. Didn’t quite capture my vision. But so different and abstract I had to try and capture something. Just Wind , Water and the Sky.

Thanks for showing interest.

Interesting shot, Gill. From your description, it sounds like what you experienced would be hard to capture with a still shot.

I shot about 10 frames. Just an unusually weird event at this lake. Freaked me out.

Very nice! Have you tried making it a bit brighter/play with contrast..I feel like there is more silver shiny goodness in this file…but I am not tell how to get at it. Great shot.
