I like this a lot, Ben. A real nice minimalist image, leaving much to the imagination and beautifully so. Excellent.

Ben, I will have to echo Harley’s thoughts on this image. This is minimalism at it’s best.

This is so good, Ben. I love the way the line of the snowy hill fades in from the left, pointing to the house and tree. No critiques from me.

This is wonderful Ben. Excellent minimalist image. I especially like the barely visible boundary between the snow and sky.

This is the definition of “less is more”. This is just so pleasing and calming to view. Thanks for sharing a wonderful image.

A truly great photo.

Hi @Ben_van_der_Sande, great minimal and intimate shot? I have a question for you. I usually see centered composition for this kind of image. Can you explain me your compositional choice? Thank you.

Agree with all about a very successful minimalist image. I too am curious about the placement of the two elements, especially the tree, fairly far to the right. I’m not saying you shoulda done a rule of thirds approach, but the tension of the right tree in particular is interesting to me. With that said, the excellent use of negative space here does create balance.

I usually am not a big fan of negative space, but it’s use in this image has won me over. If you wanted a textbook example of how to make creative use of negative space, you couldn’t do any better than using this image for illustration. Congratulations Ben this image is stunning :+1: :+1: :+1:

I try to not follow rules to much and make my compositions by feeling. In this image it seems that I succeeded rather well. And I learn from your comments like these a lot. Thanks!!

That’s just downright fun. Wonderfully artistic image Ben!
