Yes, winter is good for BW and this photo is not exception. I just love the foot prints going down the road. One could imagine many stories to go with them.
Eduard, the strong, centered path and the variety of darkness in the tracks work really well here. There’s a fine visual zoom, inviting us to go walking.
Eduard, this a a great composition with the footprints leading the viewer into the frame.
Eddie, this is the type of image that elicits a “well seen!” comment from me. I just think it’s the type of thing most folks would ignore, but you spotted the potential and seemed to know it would look great in monochrome. The pattern of the footprints really makes the image, IMO. Not just that they provide texture, but the fact that they sport different tones (some dark, some faded) to really break up the pattern a bit.
