Never tire of seeing Wood Ducks. The foliage is an invasive species from South America-not sure how it found its way to Oregon.

Very good, Allen. I didn’t think the males were still in breeding plumage at this point. It really contrasts well with that bright green foliage.

Sorry about the invasive species, but it does make for an excellent frame for our boy here. I wonder if the tone could shift a tiny bit toward the magenta…the green aspect is pretty overpowering. The bird is really gorgeous and so regal in his bearing and helmet. Good detail and colors - seems like he’s having a staring contest with someone!

Nice, detailed duck in an unusual environment. Great to see him in weeds as opposed to the common swimming. Fine work!
