Still looking pretty scruffy, Allen, but I really like the image. I like birds that aren’t looking their best now and then as it adds a little reality to the forum.

HI Allen, a little scruffy but still really beautiful. Love seeing these ducks. I like the greenery around to help show the duck off. Nice details throughout on the bird.

Love this boy and his mossy surround. Could be he’s a new adult or just molting. The in-between is rather nice. He looks busy and determined to get somewhere. They are gorgeous, but I never can get near one. I chase them constantly in the kayak and never come on them unawares. I think I need a suburban pond or a hide.

It’s interesting that in the wild they are probably the flightiest ducks, but in the city parks they show no fear of humans.
