Wood Duck

While I did get some shots of the duck in open water, most of the time it was swimming in the brushy area of the pond, and I like this for showing its more typical environment.

I wish I could get a male Wood Duck shot as nice as this. If it were mine, I would see how it would look with some top, bottom, and right edge trimmed some. And I would probably just put up with the distracting horizontal stick. I think I could successfully make it go away in PS but not without a hassle so, lazy-butt that I am, I’d probably live with it.

Excellent look at this would duck. Superb pose, reflections, and environmental view. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Pretty good detail in the Wood Duck, Allen. I like the pond with the reflections. I’m not all that fond of the horizontal branch, but it would take a pretty large crop to avoid it.
