I like the crop, Dave. You have a finely detailed portrait of this beautiful woodpecker - lucky you to see it often. My only suggestion would be to tone down the bright sky a bit.
Lovely! I do agree with Mike about toning down the top left corner sky if you can. The grey background of the tree is a wonderful contrast to the black, white and red of the bird. And lucky you to have this bird around!
I would normally say that the angle was a bit too steep, Dave, but I think the fork in the tree makes it work in this case. Nicely done.
