This Hornbill was perched relatively low as opposed to their usual high perches, which gave me a near eye level shot. I’ve always liked how they appear to be scowling.

Beautiful light and a great job on the processing, Richard. There’s a slight painterly look to the plumage that I like. Nice perch and pose as well.

I love hornbills - what funny-looking birds!
Great pose here, and the eye-level view is unusual. Fine detail, perch and BG.

Love the head turn and the eye checking us out. Beautiful light and I like the composition with the full top of the perch included. Nice details on the bird. No nits here - very nicely done.
