Superb portrait! The slight head-turn, perspective, and B&W treatment are all perfect. I’d suggest a bit more room on the left and top, and losing the white-ish areas along the right margin and top left.
Excellent!

Thank you @Sandy_Richards-Brown. I’ve reworked it from the original to reduce the distractions and give a bit more space. I appreciate your suggestions.

Oh, yeah - edit is perfect!

I really like the re-work! Great image.

Thank you again @Sandy_Richards-Brown and @elizabeth. The magic of cloning. . . .

Ed, these still seems to be some lighter areas in the dark BG, if you look closely at the large view. A simple levels adjustment would tke care of them,

This is a well composed and well captured image. The image is very sharp and you have managed to capture the shot when he was looking right at you. Its funny, but I love the lips as well. I agree with the previous comments by @Sandy_Richards-Brown and @elizabeth. I have a couple of very minor suggestions. The selection in the lower left is a little rough and there is a small white patch in the lower left. I would suggest using a gradient to fix both of these. This also serves to help frame the image. Below is what I have in mind. It might be something to consider.

Thank you @Sandy_Richards-Brown I think I want to leave at least a bit of the BG tree in the frame on this one. @Willemd I really like your idea on the gradient and have applied it, although maybe not to the same degree you did in yours. Thank you.

I 100% agree. After I looked at what I did, I came to the same conclusion that it was too much. I was really trying to show the concept…

Edit #2 is the one I like the best. The reduction of the prominent features in the LLHC works very well. I do like Alexander’s gradient too…Jim

A cool portrait and so many good suggestions have already helped !
Due to convertor on a long zoom, fine detail is somewhat missing.

thanks again @Willemd for your help on this, and thank you @Jim_Zablotny and
@JRajput . I am discovering what I think is a falloff of quality at the longest reaches of the 100-500 with the 1.4 teleconverter Jagdeep, I think it has been good at the shorter ranges, even with the TC.

YES !!! Well composed and love the tone of this image… I really love the editing !!! Really nice image. !!!

Thank you very m uch @Gill_Vanderlip
