This is so inviting! That little patch of light in the middle really sets it off. Just makes me want to keep walking into the scene. I also quite like the way you’ve handled the highlights in the tree foliage. It’s almost celebratory, like confetti at the end of the finish line.
Ben, this is such a nice serene inviting scene. It is not an unusual place, or scene, but just has a relaxing tone throughout. I love the little path, the nice patch of light, and the lacy field of flowers. A wonderful clearing in the deep forest. I can hear the birds singing. . .
Ben, I agree with @David_Wallace and @Ed_Williams. This is a trail I would like to explor. I would find a place to stop and rest and listen to the forest sounds.
This is an absolutely gorgeous woodland scene Ben! The pathway leading the viewer towards that lovely patch of light in the wildflowers makes this so inviting and serene. This is being super nit picky because this image is so wonderful, but I can see removing those two small patches of light; about halfway up the right edge of the frame where they intrude on the dark bark. I can feel the solitude as I listen to the birds sing.
Well you must have nailed the initial impression of inviting, because that was exactly mine too. I love the rich greens and the splash of light. It really makes me want to stroll right on into the image.
Beautiful and inviting–I love the atmosphere and the pool of light and the wildflowers. Makes me want to keep walking forward, spend some time. One minor thing, for me the title had me looking for actual birds so there was a second of confusion.
