A beautiful set of images, Will. The “under-the-bridge” view is really special.
That’s from the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia.
You can book a tour to go under the bridge roadway, which gives you a great view. On the day we went, it had been pouring , and we worried that there wouldn’t be much to see. But luckily the rain stopped just as the tour began, and the fog and mist started rising from the river and mountainside. In fact, there were a few times the fog just rolled right over us on the bridge.
It was an interesting trip, and recommended , as long as you’re not afraid of heights . It is very safe as you’re literally tethered to the bridge the whole time

I don’t remember the two river photographs, but wow they are nice. The flow in the photos just takes you along for the ride and the shutter speed is perfect in both.
Will, this is a fine set of photos. I especially like the fall colors and the arc of the rock wall in #3, the sense of movement in the river in #4 (Great Falls at low water, by any chance?) and the big V with late fall colors in #5.
#4 is indeed Great Falls in October from the Maryland side. And, indeed it’s been nothing but low water for the last few months.
#3 is Endless Wall in New River Gorge National Park.

This is a wonderful set of favorite images for the year. My two favorites are #'s five and eight. In # 5 I like the muted autumn colors, but I also think the trees who have already dropped their leaves add some lovely details to the scene; particularly the larger view. In # 8 the soft light is quite nice and I love the atmospherics with the clouds rolling in. Beautifully done.
