My favorite time of the year, when we get to see members showcase their images from the past twelve months. I won’t be able to jump into commenting until later this week, but here are some of my favorites from the year posted in the order that I took them.

John, your snow images in the mountains are always special. There are plenty of other views here that are also excellent. That misty beach scene is wonderfully mysterious, made special by the human and the bird.
John: I was hoping you would post and you have definitely not disappointed. The snow images are just breathtaking and the shots from Bandon bring back so many great memories from my times there. Wonderful collection. >=))>

I don’t think I could pick a favorite out of these, John. They are all superb and I like the way you ordered them to follow the seasons. You certainly had a wonderful year.
Enjoyed all your images, John. The snow-scapes are splendid, the oaks extraordinary and I very much liked the Egret and the background of that image.

I am a total fool for White River Canyon shots. These are absolutely fantastic. I’m hoping to get up there myself in January or early February. Maybe I’ll see you up there some day.

This is a flat out gorgeous set of favorite images for the year! I have come back a couple of different times trying to pick my two favorites. Right now I am leaning towards the first of the snow capped mountain and the seventh of the beach scene with the solitary figure. The first is just breath takingly beautiful with the blowing snow and the FG evergreens guiding the viewer up the slope. The seventh is just dripping with mood with the fog as the lone figure strolls along the beach with the bird flying overhead. Beautifully done.
