Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

My last few macro images have included a couple ladybug instars (nymphs) that I was lucky to find. I have been returning to that place daily, hoping to find a new adult. It takes about 2 weeks for the nymph to go through the several instar stages to become an adult.
Here is one of them ! (Along with a tiny photo-bomber)
Note the mouthparts - they do bite, if threatened.

Details and comp are excellent. I like the darker green in the lower RH corner. You could remove the orphaned flowers in that corner if you desire. I don’t think that they add much to the comp. Other than that, a nice peak into the life of a ladybird beetle…Jim

Sandy: I’ll pretty much echo Jim. I definitely would make the flowers in the RLC go away. I like the placement of the beetle in the frame and how the red commands attention. >=))>

Wow! Sandy, the colors are great in this without being overdone. I agree with Jim and Bill on the little fringe flowers, but otherwise this is excellent.
