Description

this is anAnna’S hummingbird taken a few years ago but reprocessed yesterday and today. Funny thing happened on the way to publishing this image. About three years ago I developed Parkinson’s disease have been struggling with health issues for a while. I haven’t given up the camera though. It’s hard because it’s so heavy but I think I can do it. I do have some new images coming. I have to make a few alterations to my computer so I could use a USB C input.
Nice to be back!

Specific Feedback

any thing that works

Technical Details

I don’t remember much about the metadata so I’m not going to include it. The hardest thing for me has been relearning Photoshop and all the other apps that have changed in the last three or four years since I have really been unable to work. I was pretty shocked when I downloaded and upgraded everything yesterday. I guess you can call it sticker shock because of the charges and costs now associated with Adobe products.

David - SO glad to see you posting!
This is a fine image. Nice detail, pose, and look at the gorget - which might be saturated more. I love the fluffy feathers and the bit of lichen for interest.
Sweet!

Hi David, glad you are posting again!
Wonderful image. Colors are lovely and well controlled. Fine sharpness on the bird with a nice background. The perch adds another point of interest. Well done.

Hi David, Good to have you back. Beautiful look at the hummer. Great pose and detail and the lichen seems to balance the hummer. Nice contrasty background as well.

A few minor artifacts around the perch, David, but the hummer is incredibly sharp. Glad you were able to get this one out. Very nice post.

Dennis:
Actually posted the wrong image. But other image I have took care of the artifacts. I’ll look around tomorrow and see if I can find it and post it

Been there, done that.

here is a repost

Hello everyone - after so many months away I am rusty at navigating posting critiques , comments and sending private messages, so sorry if there are repeats while i relearn. here is yet another reworked version of this image.

Hi David
The Annas looks great. To help out with the camera & lens weight factor you could take a look at Speed - Shooter Photography Harness System for birds in flight, sports, and action photography.
