Mrs. Anna's

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

There’s a liquid amber tree near our hummingbird feeders that the hummers like to “stand guard” in, and I’m liking the different looks that the new growth is providing for my hummer poses. Here’s a female anna’s that’s briefly rousing in the morning sun.

Specific Feedback

Cropping, and anything else.

Lovely perch and pose, with good detail. The WB is giving a bluish cast overall – worth a look.

Nice job on catching the detail and the beak, Dave. I like the perch as well. I do agree with @Diane on the white balance. The belly and underside of the tail should be pretty white or slightly gray as should the little triangular patch behind the eye. Should be an easy fix.
