The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
There’s a budding liquid amber tree near our hummer feeder that our recent influx of hummingbirds are taking little breaks in-between feedings. I got this guy in there this morning.
Specific Feedback
Cropping? I darkened the BG in an effort to highlight the bird/perch. Yeah?

The angle of the light was perfect to show off this guy’s gaudy gorget, Dave. The only thing that would make it better is if that darn perch were more parallel with the focal plane.
Wow, perfect angle for the iridescent helmet and gorget! Stunning!
For this image, an F13 or so would have gotten more in focus. The you could separate the BG and blur it a bit more, if you wished. As it is, you might take a swipe or two with the sharpening tool over the slightly-OOF head.
The OOF perch doesn’t bother me much with an image like this, but you might try getting rid of the horizontal OOF part.
Excellent image as is, though!
What a bright little jewel. Wish the bg was more blurred, but at f/13 it’s going to be a bit crisper. The plane of focus is narrow, but looks nice and sharp. You might want to just barely tone down the bud on the far end of the branch. Just a bit.
Nice frame to my eyes Dave with a great look at the brilliant male colors. Sharpness looks good to me where it counts. My eye mostly stays with the bird even with the other elements in the image. Bird pops well against the darkened background.
