Description
While the previous crocus was shot as found, I peeled back one of the petals to revel the inside for this image. The water on the petals is from the rain the weather app said was not going to happen for another couple of hours, but started as I began to shoot.
The focus on the center is superb, Allen. In my opinion, it deserves more attention than it’s getting and I find the forward facing out of focus petal a bit of a distraction. If you have the pixels, I’d crop in a long way on this one, perhaps something on the order of this:
I like the more intimate crop, @Dennis_Plank , but also like the original as well. I was watching some Mike Moats You Tube videos and took some inspiration from them to go out and photograph these crocuses.
Allen: I’m in the same camp as @Dennis_Plank regarding the soft petal and the center detail. Love the color rendition and the detail in the center. If you don’t crop a touch more room on the bottom would suit me better but overall a tighter comp would work better. >=))>
