Canon R5; 100 mm macro; .6 seconds at f11; ISO 400. Tripod.

Very good, Allen. I really like the close-in shot of the camellia. The depth of field works well, it think. there are some areas of the pollen that look either slightly out of focus or just blown out in the yellow enough to loose detail. If you’re using LR or ACR, you could just use the local adjustment brush and try dropping the saturation on some of those a trifle. Other than that very minor nit, I really like this.

Hi Allen, I really like this photograph. I really enjoy all the layers the petals add to the image. Also, the little specks of pollen on the lower petals looks like gold dusting. Very cool!

Allen: Now that is some in your face color! I’m mostly in agreement with @Dennis_Plank regarding the yellows but that’s a pretty minor nit for me. I do like the light dusting of pollen on the petals. Nicely done. >=))>
