Luminosity blending mode created a Black and White I liked.

Description
This is an image I took in June of last year. I don’t believe I posted it at the time, but I might have. However, it’s been reprocessed since then in any case. Even the base image in this series had the background blurred a bit because it had some rather angular features that didn’t fit well with the flowers.
Specific Feedback
I got started playing with this yesterday and came up with these four variations and I’m curious as to which people like.
Technical Details

I love all the versions but I love the first one the best. Thats my favorite type of flower photo…portrait style and covered in dewdrops! Excellent image. Nice work with the tones and the way you worked with the backlight!
Gorgeous capture with a lovely subject and great light! I love the second one most (or one with the BG halfway between the first and second), then the third. I think the colors are too lovely to sacrifice in the fourth. There probably isn’t more tonal detail that could be brought out in the flowers with their narrow range of colors.
Woah that’s such a perfect set up. Sweet light and background! Fun experiments in expression, too. The first works best for me, but a less extreme version of the second could be really stunning, too. Super find & execution.
Dennis: I’m a huge lupine fan since bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas and they do so much to announce spring in these parts. I do prefer the natural BG of #1 with #2 my next favorite. I like the textured BG in #3 but less so the effects on the flower. The monochrome doesn’t resonate much with this avowed unrepentant color junkie. Fine exercise and thanks for sharing your efforts. >=))>
