I was using my 200-600 for birds and noted the bees on the maple, so i quickly changed lenses and got this shot

David: We have had a Japanese Maple in our garden for a little over 20 years now. It is a beautiful tree but I can’t recall seeing flowers like this on it. I’ll need to go take a closer look. The bee is a nice party crasher and your SS just allowed you to get pretty good detail in the body. The slight wing blur works great to confirm that this guy is hovering as he sizes up the next blossom to try. Top notch shot. >=))>
