Below the bloom

Description:

Our back yard is so steep that a lawn or vegetable garden was simply never an option so, instead, I turned to a combination of wilding and planting flowers of all kinds. I quickly discovered that a benefit of a flower garden on a hillside is seeing the blooms from a different point of view—that is from below—and as a consequence have fallen in love with these views that include “from below,” such as this tulip.

Quite lovely and I like the alternate perspective. Tall flowers and that slope are handy for this. I shot a jack-in-the-pulpit once this way because I could get into a little crevice below it. Very pleasing crop as well. I think you could mess with the curve panel and lift the mids just a bit.

Very lovely photo of this tulip. I like the lighting from the inside of the flower.

Thank you, Kathy. I too love the way it glows, especially in the transitions of colors toward the bottom.
