Bluebird and Towhee sharing a branch in a snow storm

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

This was taken around the same time as my previous post with the Bluebird and Cardinal. I wish the Towhee had a cathlight in the eye.

Specific Feedback

I would like any feedback that would help me improved on photos like this. Thank you in advance.

Very good job on this one, Brian. Having the perch on a diagonal branch is really special and they even gave you similar head turns. I can see next year’s Christmas card in this one.

Looks quite good to me Brian. I see a bit of a sheen in the eye of both birds and I think that’s all the catchlight you can expect in light like this. Nice subject placement in the frame and I love all the falling snow. Each bird looks relatively sharp. Well done.

Thank you Allen.

Thank you Dennis. I hope to get back out to learn more. I like the Christmas card idea. Now I need to find the appropriate quote hopefully nature related.
