Breakout Light on Valdez Narrows

Where the Valdez Bay meets the mountains. It was a cold winter day as the sun began to break through the heavy clouds of a snow storm. If you follow the heavily treed hills on the left as they taper to a point you will be at the outlet of Bay that is labeled the “Valdez Narrows”.

Beautiful spike of lit clouds in the otherwise nicely understated scene. Works well.

Gary: Simply wonderful light and conditions superbly composed and captured. I especially like the soft color palette and the atmospherics. Top notch. >=))>

Valdez pretty much defines " land meeting the sea"! Nice image, but geez, it looks cold. :grinning:

Gary, the spike of warm light sets this chilly (and quite monochromatic, otherwise) scene off beautifully.
