Image Description
We recently made a jaunt up to the John Day area of Oregon. Bull Prairie Lake is outside of Spray, up in the mountains. The evening sprinkles and breezes made an interesting texture on the water surface. Also, I couldn’t resist the old snag.

Any comments welcome. Maybe the tree reflections are to strong?

Bonnie, I think the tree and it’s reflection are fine. I also like the change in textures across the water. I do think that cropping the strong dark area at the top works well as it lets that “arrow” of dark water act as a balance to the tree. Was it raining? All of the small circles in the lower half are a fine addition when I look at the larger view.
Thanks, @Mark_Seaver. It was raining lightly. I take your point about the dark stripe at the top. I did try cropping it out, but the balance feels off then. I also tried lightening it up, but that didn’t work for me either.
