The flowers are nice and sharp and the textures of the leaves have come out strongly. I might darken the background a little to put more emphasis on the flowers but the delicate colours do shine nicely.

Jaap: Nice view of this lantana. We have the same variety in our garden so this reminds me to go look at ours. The flowers and buds are rendered very nicely but the strong lighting creates some problems with the BG. I cropped this tighter and put a vignette in the corners to give you an iidea of where I would take this. Thanks for posting and looking forward to more. >=))>

The same tonal range in the foreground leaves and the background eliminates the sense of depth. The flowers themselves are nicely done. Harsh lighting when taking floral shots can cause all kinds of problems.
That is true, but why would I need depth in this shot?
