Bush Tit in the Snow & RP

This was taken earlier this year in January. I haven’t seen any Bush Tits recently but they do occasionally show up. Not much I can do about the tight crop because of the diagonal branch.

A nice little portrait of this little one. Great detail. It just looks cold! The OOF branch behind the main branch is a bit of a distraction that I wish wasn’t there.

Keith,
Thanks so much for your critique on this image. I agree with you that the stick was a little distracting so here is another version, a completely different image, where I was able to remove the stick. It’s not perfect but I think it conveys the idea.

Ahh… That solves the issue.

Gorgeous detail, great pose, wonderful soft colors with the brown against gray – excellent!! The second version is perfect!

I like the re-work very much. Not sure we have these over this way, so it’s nice to see a different songbird. The OOF falling snow adds a lot to the atmosphere. And I love the snow on the branch and on its foot. Nicely executed!
