Is this a composite: No
Canon 5ds-r, at f-8, 1/320 sec. and ISO 1000. Used Photoshop RAW to allow more detail of the surrounding snow.

Wonderful – both the bird and the snow!

Really good job on the snow and excellent pose from wren. I might just back off a bit if you have cropped this. It seems a bit tight. Well done.

Hi Wayne. The snow has a bit more texture, but i think you went a touch too far, it’s starting to look unnatural to me. The wren doesn’t seem to have much feather detail-I’m not sure what happened there.

Thanks to all, now that I look at the post again it does look like it is over cropped .
