Image Description

I love the changes that come with living in Vermont and look forward to what they might reveal. This ice formed on a small vernal meltwater flow that refroze on a chilly March night. The ice patterns had gone through several freeze/thaw cycles and the rising water below had created a window to show the decomposing leaves below. A week later all the ice was replaced by water and a week or two after that spring ephemerals were in bloom.

John: Since we only have warm and hot seasons in my part of Texas I envy you the opportunity although I must confess that I prefer sweating over shivering. Neat find, especially the ice formations. Nicely done.>=))>

@Bill_Fach We’ve had plenty of HOT here this year but in winter we are never cold, we just don’t have enough clothes on. Sometimes photographing with gloves and hotpacks is not so easy.
