So very cute. And looks to be intent on something, probably food. The color is different from the Black capped I see all the time, but a chickadee is a chickadee. Great background and perch, too. The feathers are detailed, but still look soft and fluffy. I like it a lot.

Great catch, David. Wonderful pose and just enough of the branch/log to ground the bird. The background is terrific too.

I like how you put that, David, you’re a “Glass 30% full kind of person while others may see it as 70% empty”

Wow, the Chickadee is framed perfectly, the tail is pointed directly at the lower left corner while its head and beak are pointed to the upper right corner, and the head and beak is really close to the 1/3 top to bottom and right to left area, so, to me this makes the “Rule of thirds” that much more relevant.
The limb its perched on is nice and parallel to the tail, yet exits the frame on the right with that nice, gentle curve.
Great colors and the Chickadee is a beautiful specimen.

This really makes my Woodpecker shot from this afternoon look shameful.

This looks like an Editors Pick to me.
