Description
On our first trip to the Canadian Rockies we spent some time at Athabaska Falls. I got some wider views of the falls but my favorite image was this rainbow formed in the spray. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Was able to pull out some more detail with better processing skills and made some small intruding branches in the LLC disappear. AI fill does a great job of creating natural looking results.

A beautiful moment Bill with great light – I’m inclined to a tighter crop, losing the bottom quarter or more. It is already something of an abstract, without a sense of place because of framing. I say take advantage of that with a tighter crop.
Bill, the big arc of the rainbow is balanced well by the falling water. The details in the splashes show well in the larger view. I do wonder about a bit more burning-in of the brightest bits, assuming that there’s some detail there to “find”.
A sideways rainbow! How neat!! Always several ways to crop a very good image, but I like the crop as presented, with the rainbow grounded in the shaded water, which has more detail. A natural Ansel Adams edge burn. I do wonder if there is any more detail int he brightest areas – maybe with two raw conversions layered and masked? And maybe a bit more detail in the darks on the right? But that’s being very nit-picky for a wonderful capture. And bringing up the darks might spoil a very interesting feature where the bow feels like it is holding back the darks to allow the fall to be unimpeded. It almost feels like the edge of a lens or something. Or did I have too much coffee this morning…
